Oneida Hammond
was born and raised in Panamá, where she received her
artistic education at the Academy of Art in Panamá. However,
most of her watercolor experience comes from many excellent
instructors in the U.S.A. In addition to her art education,
she received her undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistry
and her Masters’ degree in education. Her early work was
as a Medical Illustrator.
Oneida’s work has appeared in many galleries in the Santa
Clara and Carmel valleys. She has received numerous awards for
her colorful watercolors. Many of her paintings are in private
collections in Europe, Asia, and the U.S.A.
Oneida has been giving demonstrations for most of the art groups
in the Bay Area, and judged several art shows in the vicinity
besides being a very popular teacher.
